X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner has confirmed earlier speculation that the planned Deadpool movie will be a reboot, and will ignore everything that fans learned about the character in the recent Wolverine movie.

Speaking in a recent interview for Empire magazine the producer gave a little more intel about the planned Doodpool movie, which will see Ryan Reynolds reprise the role.

“I want to ignore the version of Deadpool that we saw in Wolverine and just start over again. Reboot it. Because this guy talks, obviously, and to muzzle him would be insane.”

The producer added that coming up with a clear cut villain for the Deadpool movie is likely to cause a bit of a problem.

“It’s going to be a dark, snarky, very funny movie. It’s the hardest story to tell, I think. There’s no clear-cut villain – though you do have great baddies from the comic books like Black Tom, Slayback, Blind Al and the Weasel.”

I have NO idea who this Dead Pool character is, but with a list of 2nd rate villians. This iwll join the list of Marvel clunkers; Punisher, Dare Devil, Elektra, Ghost Rider and sadly yes, The Incredible Hulk. Though I did like the Ed Norton version better then Eric Bana’s version.
