THQ Unveil Darksiders Release Date

One game that was doing the rounds at this years E3 Electronics & Gaming show was a new title from THQ called Darksiders: Wrath Of War, and THQ have finally announced that we can expect to see this fantasy based game arrive in UK Stores for both PS3 and XBox on 8, January 2010.
Digital Spy reports that the game is set on an alternate earth after a 100 year biblical apocalypse.
In the game players take on the role of Death, who if you know your revelations is one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Your job is to battle the forces of evil in order to restore the balance between heaven and hell.
The game, which is developed by Vigil Games will have “a deep yet easy to control combat system” using War’s giant sword and mini-gun.
The “graphic novel visual style” of Darksiders is being created by comic book artist Joe Madureira, who is best known for his work on X-Men and Battle Chasers.
