Sebastian RocheAmerican fans of Fringe got a break from the show last night due to Baseball. Which essentially means that fans watching the series in the UK are now one less week behind on the series, which investigates crimes that involve Fringe science!

However, like all good genre series Fringe is evolving and ever changing and one change that is coming up on the series, which fans in the USA will likely see in the coming weeks in the addition of a new regular villain.

According to a report in the Hollywood Reporter Sebastian Roche who is best known to American viewers as the villain in General Hospital is bringing his brand of villainy to Fringe. Observant genre fans may recognize  Roche for his guest roles in series such as Charmed, and genre movie fans may remember him for his performance as Wulfgar in the 2007 movie adaptation of Beowulf.

The trade reports that Roche will play the role of a Solder from an alternate dimension, and he’s stepping in for Thomas Kretschmann, who was originally cast as the character and was supposed to appear in the Oct. 8 episode, “Momentum Deferred,” but wasn’t able to return.
