Hardy To Play New Mad Max?

It’s fair to say that since Star Trek Nemesis flopped so badly Hollywood producers haven’t been lining up to cast talented British actor Tom Hardy in any high profile projects.
All that could be about to change for the actor because according to a report found at E-Online Tom Hardy is the actor that George Miller has in mind to drive the 949 XB GT in the new Mad Max movie, and essentially take over the principal role that went a long way to making Mel Gibson into a true Hollywood A – Lister.
Miller has revealed that casting is underway for the new Mad Max film, which is to be called Fury Road, and the rumour mill is already connecting the 32-year old Hammersmith born Hardy with the role.
Also rumoured to be up for a role in the movie is Charlize Theron.
Please note that the above for now is purely speculative rumour coming from multiple sources. No contracts have been signed nor has there any one sheeters or teasers released, but it does look much like a Mad Max 4 film is really happening.
