Entertainment Weekly’s columnist Michael Ausiello has revealed that Fox Television have opted to rest Dollhouse during the November Sweeps.
After it was announced by Fox that they plan to air all 13 season two episodes, this is somewhat of a blow to the fans of the show, as well as the series prospects of being picked up for a third season.
To date the only thing that’s kept the series on air is the fact that it has gained an extremely strong following on DVR and iTunes, which has brought the show some time.
However the actual people that watch the show when it airs live our what counts in the world of commercial television, given that adverts our what pay the bills, and sadly the live audience for Dollhouse has been no where near good enough to justify keeping it around in the eyes of many experts and analysts.
So, Dollhouse will be pulled off the air during the November Sweeps and will return with two episodes shown back to back in December.
As to a third season. Its not looking good.
