Ba’al, the leader of the serpentine parasitic Goa’uld, has been voted the top Stargate villain by readers of Totalscifionline.com and Stargate Magazine.

The powerful System Lord, played by Cliff Simon, first appeared in the SG-1 season 5 episode ‘Summit’. He went on to become Stargate’s longest running villain in his never-ceasing quest for power.

Michael Kenmore, the Wraith commander who was converted into a half-wraith hybrid, came in second place, while there were also votes for Todd, Adria, and Anubis.

The new villains-themed issue of Titan Publishing’s official Stargate Magazine is released on 27 October 2009 (US) and 12 November 2009 (UK).
