Ever since its first issue Bill Willingham’s Fables comic series has sparked readers imaginations with its mix of classical fairy-tales with a more modern spin. It now looks like one of Fabletowns most beautiful and mysterious residents is to get her own spin off in a new six issue mini series titled Cinderella: From Fabletown With Love.
In a recent interview for Newsarama writer Chris Roberson gave a little insight about the first comic book series to be spun off from Fables.
“The miniseries is basically a showcase for Willingham’s genius reinvention of Cinderella as a superspy.
“We get to see the end of her previous mission, in pure James Bond pre-credits style, and then follow her as she returns to Fabletown and gets her next assignment.
“Someone has been smuggling magical artifacts into the Mundy world from the Fable lands, and it’s Cindy’s job to put a stop to it.”
Roberson added that Cinderella may not be the only super spy from Fabletown in this series, and teased that the other super spy will possess “a magic lamp”.
Cinderella: From Fabletown With Love, which is written by Chris Roberson and drawn by Shawn McManus, is out in November.
