As a life long video gamer. I have fond memories of the original Star Wars game, which saw you take command of an X -Wing Fighter where you had to fly through the trenches of the death star take out all the trench guns while avoiding fire from Tie Fighters and eventually wait for the immortal words, “Yeeee haaaaa. Come on kid. Lets blow this thing and go home.’
Ah those were the days. The graphics of the game by today’s standards were not pretty, but the playability was a sure fire hit, and now its heading to an iPhone near you.
According to Digital Spy. The game, which is now titled Star Wars: Trench Run is to soon get a new lease of life on the iPhone.
Using a tilt-based control system, players will attempt to pierce the space station’s defenses and land a proton torpedo down a tiny thermal exhaust port to secure victory.
The game will be available soon via the iTunes App store. So until then. May the force be with you.
