Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - new game in the works.
IDW Comics have a range of licenses, which are all based on television and movie properties, and the company is well and truly cashing on on these hard earned opportunities.
For awhile now the company has been running various titles based in the Transformers Universe, and currently run a series of reprints of some of the classic Transformers stories from the 1980s in the form of trade paperbacks, and also have a series based within the movie universe.
Now it looks like the company are looking to expand on their love of warrior robots and are launching a comic book series based entirely around the character of Bumblebee.
The four issue mini series will be written by Zander Cannon with artwork from Chee. The story follows up on events first seen in IDW’s forthcoming Transformers #1, serving as the second part of the publisher’s new trilogy of books based on the Hasbro toys.
“As one of our writers observed, ‘Everybody loves Bumblebee’,” said editor Andy Schmidt. “And given his new position amongst his fellow Transformers, we just had to give him the spotlight.”
The latest edition to IDW’s Transformers Comic Universe kicks off in November with Transformers #1. Bumblebee’s solo outing will bridge the gap between the new series and the concluding book Transformers: Last Stand Of The Wreckers.
Transformers: Bumblebee #1 (of 4) will be available in stores in December.
