For sometime we’ve been hearing talk about Sony doing a video on demand service for users of the Playstation Network.
The service will allow users to rent high definition movies to watch on their Playstation 3 or their Playstation Portable.
Early yesterday Sony Europe revealed that the following movies will be made available on the service when it launches in the near future.
SCEE has revealed that the following titles will be available to watch – Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, Brüno and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
The service will also carry Hannah Montana: The Movie, Angels & Demons, Casino Royale, Crank 2: High Voltage and The Hills Have Eyes.
All movies will initially only be available on a short-term rental basis, but Sony intends to offer download-to-own content at some point in the future.
