‘V’ Hits Big In Ratings

Tuesday night was very much ‘V’ night on ABC and it looks like the audience were very much up for allowing the Visitors into their living room. 13.9 million people watched the show on Tuesday evening, which makes ‘V’ the biggest show to premier in the 8pm Prime time slot since the premier of ‘Lost’!
However, the above number is subject to change once the final numbers come through, but they’ll not likely change by to much.
The ratings for ‘V’ are only likely to get bigger once the DVR viewership is added in, since sci-fi shows tend to benefit (or suffer?) most from DVR viewing.
ABC’s other hit show Flashforward has done well out of DVR, which has added an average of an additional 2 million viewers to the initial figures. ABC had planned to give V an indeterminate break after running just the first four episodes, but this will likely make them determine a return date ASAP, which is good news for those who liked the show.
