Tennant Takes Lead Role In NBC Pilot

The Tenth Doctor could be appearing on NBC next fall, according to Geeks Of Doom.
David Tennant from Doctor Who has been chosen for the lead role in a pilot called Rex Is Not Your Lawyer, an hour-long legal dramedy about a Chicago lawyer who suffers from panic attacks.
Even though the program was first conceived in 2007, the studio wasn’t able to find the actor they wanted until they found Tennant. Whether or not he uses an accent (such as British or Scottish or even American), after starring in Doctor Who, it makes sense that he now plays a lawyer, which isn’t that much of a stretch.
His final episodes as The Doctor will be airing in the next few months, so Tennant will be looking for new roles to play. Of course, this is only a pilot, so there is no guarantee NBC will pick it up. But it does appear that the network is interested, which is always a good sign.
