John Cusack Interested In Preacher Role

2012 actor John Cusack has done a great many things in his acting career, which have ranged from comedy, to drama and of course action movies. However, he’s never acted in a movie adaptation of a comic book, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be interested if the right opportunity came along.
In a recent interview for io9.com the actor was quizzed on whether or not he’d ever consider a part in a comic book movie, and when he answered. One of the roles he said he’d find of interest would be Preacher.
“Yeah, I can, there was one or two that I heard of that sounded really cool,” he told the website.
“One of them was about, I think… it’s a vampire and a killer, and they’re on the road, and it’s this really strange story. I thought that sounded pretty cool.”
He added: “I think it might have been Preacher.”
Preacher was written by Garth Ennis and centres on down-and-out preacher Jesse Custer as he goes on a journey across the US trying to find God after becoming possessed by a supernatural creature named Genesis.
A television series was considered for awhile but was dropped in favour of a movie project, which Sam Mendes is currently attached to as director.
