Michael Jackson Moonwalks Onto Virtual Console

While it maybe true that Michael Jackson passed away over summer. The marketing machine for Michael Jackson music, games, toys and you name it is still very much alive, and not even virtual gaming consoles are safe.

In early 1990’s Michael Jackson ruled the console market with the release of a video game based on his movie Moonwalker, and the game was a smash hit on Sega Consoles everywhere and the game Moonwalker is looking to do it again.

However, this time out. The game is to walk onto the new Nintendo Virtual Console, which is a new video games archive service available for the Nintendo Wii

According to a listing on the PEGI website, the game is to be given a 12 rating on the Wii due to its violent content.
Originally released in 1990, the 16 bit title was based on the 1988 feature film of the same name. Players took on the role of Jackson as he battles enemies and tries to rescue lost children.

The game, which was based on the hit Michael Jackson movie includes the popular songs Beat It, Bad and Smooth Criminal. Which were all massive hits for the late King Of Pop…
