One such event is an online Graphic Novel, which tells a story that will span ten chapters and tell a unique Prisoner story. Book one of this comic is already available to read at: www.amctv.com/originals/the-prisoner/graphic-novel

And book two will be available as soon as the final episode of the television mini series has aired on   Tuesday, November 17.

AMC have also launched an interesting section of their Prisoner website, which examines the effect that the Original 1960s version of The Prisoner has had on popular culture over the past 40 or so years. You can read about the shows place in popular culture at: www.amctv.com/originals/the-prisoner/timeline

For the unenlightened here is AMC’s synopsis for The Prisoner, which starts this Sunday.

A man, known as “Six,” finds himself inexplicably trapped in “The Village” with no memory of how he arrived. As he explores his environment, he discovers that his fellow inhabitants are identified by number instead of name, have no memory of any prior existence, and are under constant surveillance. Not knowing whom to trust, Six is driven by the need to discover the truth behind The Village, the reason for his being there, and most importantly — how he can escape.

Two-time Academy Award nominee Ian McKellen (Lord of the Rings, X-Men) plays the role of Two, and Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ, The Thin Red Line) plays the role of Six.
