First Ever Gay Superhero Comic Launches!

A major new comic has come out! Spandex is a brand new comic book series featuring the world’s first all-gay superhero team!
The sexy new strip follows the adventures of Liberty (glamorous transvestite superhero), Diva (a lesbian Wonder Woman), Prowler (absorbs the abilities of gay people), Glitter (male Dazzler), Indigo (beautiful French teleporter), and Mr Muscles & Butch (strong twins). Every issue, you can see the team beating off such enemies as Muscle Mary, Pussy and the Pink Ninjas!
Issue one introduces the team and their Brighton headquarters, and delves into the team’s complex personal lives. Spandex must defend their hometown from the ‘Attack of the 50-Foot Lesbian’ and also meet their enemies, ‘Les Girlz’.
Spandex creator Martin Eden says of the project: “Gay people in comics are fairly under-represented, but this new comic aims to address that. Spandex introduces a whole bunch of fabulous new characters who are set to take the comic world by storm! It’s a fun, experimental comic, full of drama, comedy, romance and action… all done in the best possible taste!”
Next year will see the release of a full 120-page Spandex graphic novel, featuring more adventures with the team. In between now and then, ‘Spandex Shorts’ will be released – mini-comics spotlighting various characters, such as dodgy dynamic duo Bear Man & Twinkle.
