Some concerning news broke recently with regard to ABC’s Flashforward, which has been bleeding viewers in the US ratings.

According to a report found at The Hollywood Reporter ABC has ceased production on the series for a week.

A representative for the Network claims that the six day break was always built into the series, and is there is order to give the writers a quick breather in hopes that they continue to provide fresh and compelling television.

“They want to maintain the high quality of the show, and this gives the writers the opportunity to do so.”

The series has been losing viewers in recent weeks and lost 8 percent of its audience last week. However the show is still retaining a fairly sizable audience, and has been given a full season commitment from ABC.

So hopefully things will settled down for the series because if they don’t it’ll not take a rocket scientist to figure out the fate of the series should the ratings not stabilize.
