It seems that David Tennant’s pending departure from Doctor Who has not seen a downswing in his popularity with audiences. The actor who to many of today’s children is the equivalent of what Tom Baker was to my generation. Is still very much in demand.
And not just with adult audiences. According to a brief report over at Digital Spy Tennant has signed up to read five stories to pre school children over the Christmas Holidays on CBBC.
Tennant will be seen reading stories including The Christmas Bear by Henrietta and Paul Stickland on Christmas Eve.
The actor can also be seen in the two part Doctor Who special The End Of Time, which will see him regenerate into Matt Smith, and if that isn’t enough for fans of the actor. You’ll also get to see him reprise the role of Hamlet Prince Of Denmark in the BBC2 adaptation of the RSC’s production of the classic play, which Hamlet was involved with during the latter part of 2008 and early 2009.
