Fans who are awaiting the Guillermo del Toro take on The Hobbit will be pleased to know that work has been completed on the script for the first of the two prequel movies to Peter Jackson’s epic Lord Of The Rings movie trilogy.
In a recent news item found at Digital Spy Peter Jackson confirmed that the first script has been delivered to the studio and added that work is halfway done on the second movie script.
“It was an interesting experience because eight or nine years have passed since we wrote the Lord Of The Rings screenplays and I was worried it’d be weird or hard or uncomfortable to go back there, but as soon as we started writing the scripts it was fun, actually, and easy.”
