Tennant Will View His Last Doctor Who

David Tennant recently told Reader’s Digest magazine that he plans to watch his final episode as The Doctor, according to The Paisley Daily Express.
As reported previously, the first part of The End Of Time will be shown on Christmas Day at 7:30 p.m. The second special will air on New Year’s Day at 7:30 p.m.
“It’s my last Doctor Who. It will be nice to witness that,” he said.
Doctor Who fans (called Whovians) will not be disappointed with the way he exits, he said. “This year, we’ve done something different. It is still set at Christmas but it’s perhaps not got quite as much Christmas cheer as before.”
Tennant, who is 38 years old, will leave the program, which will be taken over by the much-younger Matt Smith.
Does Tennant have any advice for the new Doctor?
“I think we both thought we’d be able to exchange lots of ideas but, actually, it’s none of my business how Matt does it, and nothing I say can really help him,” Tennant said.
Tennant does have one memento of his days as The Doctor: his very own sonic screwdriver.
“I’ve only once used it to impress a child,” he said. “It was a charity thing but it was quite cool. He was only about five, so it was a nice, wide-eyed moment.”
