Thor Movie Will Rock Preconceptions!

thorAt present Marvel Studios have numerous movie projects at various stages of development, but the one movie that seems to be causing the most discussion among fans is Thor.

Thor, which will be directed by Kenneth Branagh is considered to be the most tricky of propositions by comic book fans due to Thor being somewhat of a supernatural character. The god like nature of Thor and the fact that much of the action is set between worlds in the books is perhaps going to be the movies biggest stumbling block.

Marvels editor in chief Joe Quesada who is a big supporter of the movie adaptations obviously isn’t as concerned as the fan base and is going out of his way to convince fans that the movie will blow their minds.

In his latest blog entry at Cup O’ Joe via Digital Spy, Quesada reassured fans that the movie will work.

“People are going to go into this movie with a preconceived idea about what it will be,” he said. “If you’re a comics fan, you’ll have a preconceived notion of what you’re going to get. If you’re a non-comics fan, you’ll have another notion of what the movie is all about.

“And what’s really amazing is that both groups will walk away going, ‘I’ve never seen anything like this before within the superhero genre’. It’s so cool, and I don’t want to use the word unusual, but it is unusual in the sense that it redefines what a superhero movie can be.

“It’s not the expected story or settings. That part of it is incredibly exciting to me.”
