Primeval Year Four Set To Roar

One series that everyone here at scifipulse.net will be pleased to see return is Primeval. Only sadly we’ll have to wait to 2011 before we see the new fourth season of the series, which will pick up from where season three left off and begin to explore the surviving cast members.
Those fans who are hoping to see a return from Nick Cutter via one of the clones could be in for some disappointment though, because according to producer and co – creator Adrian Hodges it was always the plan to end the story arc involving Nick Cutter and his wife in season three, and in a recent interview for SFX Red Alert he said that the fourth and fifth season will take on a much different shape.
“We’re very conscious of our own mythology and the nice thing is that after three series we can really exploit that more. There are certainly things that we will pick up from the past in the fourth series, but I don’t mind saying that they won’t include the future predators and they won’t include that Cutter storyline. And obviously we do have a situation where three of the principal cast were stuck in the past, so we have to look at how we bring them back as well!”
During the course of the brief interview Hodges credits the efforts of his Co Creator and fellow producer Tim Haines who successfully negotiated with ITV to allow them to broker a deal with UKTV, BBC Worldwide and German network ProSieben.
Primeval returns to ITV1 and Watch in 2011.
