He has appeared in many Marvel motion pictures including Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Hulk, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Stan Lee, one of the legends of Marvel Comics, has confirmed that he will be seen in the upcoming Thor motion picture, according to Digital Spy.

Kenneth Branagh (of course I call him ‘Ken!’) said my cameo’s set for the upcoming Thor movie. — To him, it’s a cameo, to me – it’s a ROLE!” Lee posted via his Twittter account.

“Can’t tweet anymore. Due to Thor, I must start rehearsing my thee’s and thou’s. So, if thou objecteth not, I wish thee well! ‘Nuff saideth’,” Lee said.

Director Branagh’s vision for the Thor movie was recently praised by creators at Marvel, including Lee. The co-creator of Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four, who described Branagh as “the nicest guy in the world as well as the most talented,” told MTV News that he had been promised a cameo in the film.

“When we had lunch, I was sure he had asked me to lunch because he wanted me to play Odin, but it was a big disappointment,” he said. “I figure I’ll end up carrying his spear.”

The Mighty ThorMarvel’s editor-in-chief Joe Quesada and writer Brian Michael Bendis were also impressed by Branagh after a meeting.

Quesada said on Twitter: “I could listen to Branagh talk about Thor all day long. Cast is in place, sets are being built and screenplay is brilliant. Marveldom rules.”

Thor is scheduled to open in theaters on May 20, 2011.
