‘V’ Remake Adopts Terminator Producers

The new remake of ‘V’ has had its fair share of production troubles of late, and changes behind the scenes on the series, which saw original show runner Scott Peters take a pay cut and be downgraded from show runner to staff writer have raised a fair few eyebrows within and on the fringes of the industry.
A couple of weeks ago it was announced that former Chuck producer Scott Rosenbaum was to replace Scott Peters as the show runner, but until recently this change of the guard has been about the biggest change made on the series.
However, more change is on the cusp for ‘V’ because according to reports coming from sources unique to Airlock Alpha John Wirth and Natalie Chaidez have been recruited to bolster up the series writing team, which the website feels is an expression of confidence in the new series from the ABC Network.
John Wirth and Natalie Chaidez are no strangers to the world of genre television. Both writers worked on the cancelled Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, which was unceremoniously pulled from Fox television earlier this year due to low ratings.
At present their exact roles on the on the writing team of ‘V’ are yet to be determined. But both are veteran producers from the short lived Terminator series.
‘V’ got off to a cracking start when it first aired on ABC back in early November, and secured 14 million viewers for its initial pilot episode. However as is inevitable viewers dropped for the next two episodes but seemed to find a steady flow by the time the last of the four episodes was show.
‘V’ returns to ABC television in March, and will air here in the UK on the SciFi Channel at some point in 2010.
