There Is No Doctor Who Movie Says Tennant

Ever since Doctor Who returned to television back in 2005 there have been constant rumours suggesting that there will be a Doctor Who movie, which will be made for the cinema. One such rumour, which started late summer of 2008 suggested that a movie was being written by departing show runner Russell T. Davies and would star tenth Doctor David Tennant.
However according to the actor who leaves Doctor Who at the end of 2009 in the much anticipated two parter The End Of Time. There are no such plans for a movie and never have been.
Speaking to the Radio Times, the actor said that making a name for himself in Hollywood is not one of his top priorities.
“I don’t think there is a Doctor Who movie… It’s not like I’m hell-bent on breaking into movies but it’s a nice notion,” he commented.
This is the second time in as many months that Tennant and Russell T. Davies have had to put the record straight about the rumoured Doctor Who movie. The pair were asked about plans for a movie at San Diego Comic Con earlier this year. And revealed to fans that the movie was nothing more than a tabloid manufactured rumour.
