I Am Legend Helmer To Consult On Hex Reshoot

jonah_hex_2010_posterOne movie, which has sparked a shit storm in a tea cup is Jonah Hex, which is Warner Bros adaptation of the popular DC comics series that follows the adventure of Anti Hero Cowboy Jonah Hex.

The movie, which stars Josh Brolin in the title role and boasts Megan Fox in a supporting role has had its fair share of issues in recent months, and according to Bloody Disgusting re-shoots are due to start on the supernatural western.

Hex’s director Jimmy Hayward (whose only previous feature was the animated Horton Hears a Who?) will be handling the reshoots, with I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence on hand for “consulting”.

As to what “consulting” means in this instance is anyone’s guess, but it may be as simple as Hayward calling upon Lawrence’s prior experience when it comes to adapting comic books to movies. Lawrence’s past credits aside from I Am Legend include the movie adaptation of Constantine, which was based on another of DC Comics popular supernatural titles.

2010 seems to have been a year for re-shoots. Especially when it comes to genre movies. Jonah Hex joins a list of movies that have had reshoots, which include Sherlock Holmes, A Nightmare On Elm Street and The Wolfman.

The question is. Will Francis Lawernce’s involvement with Hex turn the films fortuned around. For that we shall have to wait and see.
