Sin City 2 Remains On Hold Says Rodriguez
Written by Ian Cullen on December 23, 2009 – 9:16 am -One sequel which has been long awaited is the follow up to Frank Millers Sin City, which was directed by Robert Rodriguez.
And according to a recent interview with SciFi Wire and other members of the press on the set of Predators. Fans may have a very long wait on their hands for the sequel.
Robert Rodriguez who directed the movie pretty much said that there isn’t a definite start time for the movie, and even though Frank Miller has already written a script that has been in limbo since 2007. They still may need to make a few changes before moving ahead.
“We have to look at [Miller's script] now and go, ‘Is this really the one?’ I think it’s built up so much, like, are we really going to satisfy everybody with what we have, should we add to it? It’s the thing we’ve always talked about, but now, two years later, going on three, we’d probably make some adjustments, but nothing that would take a long time.”
The director also confirmed that Sin City 2 would contain additionally material as well as that, which has been lifted from the Graphic Novels. “That script, it was pre-existing, with some original stuff added to it to kind of catch yourself up with some characters,” says Rodriguez.
Of course it is not known what characters the second movie will centre on. And the recent loss of Brittany Murphy—who portrayed Shellie in the original Sin City—might affect the storyline.
