Day Of The Triffids Looms Closer!
Written by Ian Cullen on December 27, 2009 – 1:10 pm -Those who think Doctor Who is the only UK Science Fiction in town over the Christmas period are severely mistaken, and may well need to cover their eyes this coming Monday, 28 December and prepare themselves for the next Triffid invasion.
If you think the Daleks are scary, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
To celebrate the launch of the BBC’s newest adaptation of the classic John Wyndham novel Day Of The Triffids. An official website has just been launched to prepare you all for the invasion.
The website features all manner of Triffid goodies such as official promotional pictures of the stars as well as a few interviews to wet your appetites. A note to vegetarians, these plans eat meat. Protect yourselves and save us carnivores. Have a pick axe handy and whatever you do make sure you keep your eyes protected!

Day Of The Triffids, which stars Dougray Scott, Eddie Izzard, Jason Priestley, Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson, Ewan Bremner and Brian Cox premiers on Monday, 28 December at 8pm on BBC One, and concludes December 29.
Day Of The Triffids, will be available both on region 2 DVD and Blu Ray in January of 2010.

THE DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS IS COOLLLLLLLLLLL & is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not scary but its the best film I have ever watched!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!………………..

I’ll be a little kinder. First part was a snorefest. Second part definitely had more pace to it, but overall when judging on the full package it was a matter of FX over substance and only thing that saved it in the end was a few credible acting performances that were not there in the first part.
