Star Trek Sequel Set For 2010

After last years successful revamp of Star Trek for the cinema. Fans have been chomping at the bit to find out when the sequel will go into production, and now it looks like they have their answer.

In a recent interview for MTV Zoe Saldana who played Lieutenant Uhura in the movie revealed that    work is still underway on the script, and production on the movie will likely begin in late 2010.

“I spoke to J.J. [Abrams] and Bryan Burk, his producing partner at Bad Robot, and they are still in the middle of building the script with Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci, and we’ll probably be going into pre-production around this time next year,” she said.

Saldana is expected to reprise the role of Uhura in director Abrams’s follow-up to the 2009 hit.
