Spider-Woman Set To Join Avengers
Written by Ian Cullen on February 4, 2010 – 10:15 am -When it comes to The Avengers comics from Marvel there’s never been a shortage of strong, feisty women. Black Widow being perhaps the best known.
Marvel recently announced that Spider-Woman will be joining the Avengers team when the comic relaunches as part of their new Heroic Age line up of comics. However, there isn’t any indication on whether or not she’ll be taking Black Widow’s spot or not.
All that’s been revealed is that Spider-Woman will join the classic trinity, which is made up of Captain America, Thor and Iron Man in the new Avengers series, which is set to launch Marvel’s new Heroic Age.
Brian Michael Bendis and artist John Romita Jr. will form the book’s creative team that has been charged with heading up a massive tonal shift for all of Marvel’s titles.
Current titles Dark Avengers, Mighty Avengers, New Avengers and Avengers: The Initiative will cease following the conclusion of the Siege event.
Avengers #1 arrives in stores in May.
