Is There A Smallville TV Movie In The Works

Hercules over at AICN reports that we could well be seeing a Smallville television movie in the near future. The website quoting a convincing source revealed that Warner maybe planning a television movie, which they will be calling Metropolis, and that more will likely revealed at next months San Diego Comic Con.
The site received a tip about this from a lady claiming to have seen part of the planned comic con presentation. The way in which she described what she seen is as follows:
“On black, with crimson/red text in the same font lettering that Smallville uses, and a transparent grey Superman “S” watermark behind the text:
METROPOLIS
CHRISTMAS 2010
Then at the bottom is a banner advertising the Smallville presentation, with the time/place (can’t remember).”
The source also suggested that Metropolis will be a movie length episode, and not a back door pilot for a new Television series.
Many believe that the next season of Smallville will be the shows last. So it makes a lot of sense for CW to want to finish off the show with a movie of the week.
You can read more about the alleged Smallville movie here at AICN.
