Gil Gerard Joins Buck Rogers Web Series

Fans of Star Trek Phase II will already be aware of a guest appearance by veteran television actor Gil Gerard who is best known for his career defining role of Buck Rogers in the classic Glen A. Larson series Buck Rogers In The 25th Century, which aired between 1979 and 1981.
Apparently Gerard’s association with executive producer James Cawley doesn’t end with a guest spot on Star Trek Phase II.
According to the BuckRogersBegins website, the official home of the soon to be released new Buck Rogers Web series, which is currently being produced by Cawley and the same team that brought us Phase II. Gil Gerard who played Buck in the Glen Larson series will be joining the Buck Rogers In The 25th Century Web series as a regular cast member, and will also take on the role of Co- Executive Producer.
“Gerard recently visited Retro Films Studio, where he met with Bobby Quinn Rice, who has been cast as the new Buck in the web-series production. Gerard offered Rice advice and his best wishes during their meeting, essentially passing the torch to the new Buck Rogers,” cawley said in the official press release.
The new web series – Buck Rogers In The 25th Century is currently in pre production.
