Orci And Kurtzman Ink Their First TV Deal
Written by Ian Cullen on February 3, 2010 – 9:45 am -Star Trek screenwriters Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman have signed their first television deal with 20th Century Fox.
The dynamic duo who have penned the re-imagining of Hawaii 5-0 for CBS and have been regular players in the development of J.J. Abrams hit shows of Lost and Fringe are breaking out on their own and have been hired on a three year contract at Fox to develop new shows for the network.

Abrams Considering End-point For ‘Fringe’
Written by Wayne Hall on February 1, 2010 – 11:30 am -Seeing how it helped revitalize ABC’s Lost when things started to go off track, J.J. Abrams says he’s considering setting an end-point for his FOX series Fringe as well, according to Slice of Sci Fi.
“Just as with Lost, we didn’t get to a place until the third season where we were saying, ‘Okay, we need to know where halfway is,’” Abrams said. “And I feel like that’s something that, if we’re lucky enough to continue going, I do think that at a certain point it would be a really smart thing to start to say, ‘Okay, let’s figure out what the actual date is so we sort of know how far we should push things.’” Read more »

Fox Could Have First Bite Of Questor Tapes

Last week it was widely reported that a new series based on the failed 1973 pilot movie The Questor Tapes was in the works as a joint production between Rod Roddenberry son of late Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry and Imagine Entertainment, which is the production company owned by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer.
Imagine Entertainment happens to hold a first look deal with Fox Television, and according to Airlock Alpha this deal may well see the Questor Tapes airing on Fox Network.
