An official synopsis for the third season of Merlin has been released online via Farfarawaysite, which was formerly known as Merlin’s Keep.

‘Merlin’ Star Promises Darker Stories For Season Three

Fans of the BBC ONE hit series Merlin will be pleased to know that the wait will not be much longer before the show returns for its third season.
In a recent interview for SFX Magazine, Colin Morgan, who plays the title role, teased that the new series will be much darker, and will see some of the characters relationships brought to breaking point.

‘Merlin’ Series 3 Will Work Its Magic On Syfy In The States

s this really much of a surprise to anyone?
Syfy will show the third series of Merlin in the U.S. during 2011, according to UPI. The third season will have 13 episodes.
In the States, the British-produced program aired the final episode of the second season on Friday, July 2.
