Synopsis: The Doctor joins forces with his oldest companion to date when a scientific research base comes under attack from sentient waters. It may be another stand against immeasurable odds, but waiting in the wings for the Time Lord is a sign that all songs must end…

The Review: For those that thing Russell T. Davies can’t write a dark episode of Doctor Who. Think again, because this team effort between RTD and Phil Ford is pretty dark, and takes the Doctor to a pretty dark place.

For me. This was the strongest special thus far. In last years Christmas Adventure The Next Doctor, we got light and fluffy, which led nicely into the first of the 2009 specials The Dead Planet, which offered up a mixed bag of dark and light, with enough humour to keep us smiling. Read more »

The Torchwood Team Are Back

A couple of days have passed since Russell T. Davies revealed to TV Guide that he is hopeful for Torchwood’s future and as you’d expect. The media is a buzz with anticipation of an announcement, which RTD thinks may come sometime in January.

However, a recent article by the Coventry Telegraph, which sources various Media Outlets has shed some more light on the proposed fourth season of Torchwood, and not only is Russell T. Davies hopeful, but he also seems to be the man with the plan.

Sourcing a recent interview that the acclaimed writer/producer did with Torchwood Magazine, Davies in his own words hints that he may well be the one heading things up again.

Things Looking Good For Torchwood Renewal

Fans who enjoyed this years Torchwood Mini series Children of Earth have been kept in suspense now for going on three month as to whether or not the series will get a fourth season, and from the UK point of view and from sources here at SciFiPulse it has always looked good, but nothing concrete in terms of definitive answers.
