Could J.J. Abrams Make Superman Soar Again?

Could the man who revitalized the Star Trek franchise do the same for the Man of Steel?
It might happen, especially since J.J. Abrams, before he became a recognized name, did in fact draft a script for Superman. And he wants to work with the character!
“Writing that script was a long process. It was a very passionate character for me,” Abrams said recently. “As a kid growing up, it meant a lot to me. It would be wonderful and fun to see that brought back. I don’t know what Warners is thinking or what their plan is. It would be a blast … . No one has talked to me about it. Obviously I’m sure Warner Brothers has a plan for what they want to do.”

DC Comics And Beyond: Comics Reviews
Written by Wayne Hall on October 22, 2009 – 12:00 pm -Halloween isn’t very far away now. More and more spooky books are hitting the stands, so let’s get down to boo-siness.
1. DC Universe Halloween Special ‘09 #1. As the cover says, this issue contains “thirteen all-new tales of terror.”
The book has a story with Bizarro bookending the other tales, called “Unhappy Halloween.” (Of course, Bizarro means just the opposite of what he says, so … .)
Everybody knows I’m a big Batman fan, so it will come as no surprise that I enjoyed Batman’s appearance called “Halloween Trick And Defeat.” We get to see pretty much the whole Bat-family as they try to stop Killer Moth from ruining their holiday party. Read more »

Former DC President Hooks Up To Comixology

It looks like former DC President, editor-in-chief Jenette Kahn has joined the digital comics revolution and is now working for Comixology.
Comixology for those not in the now is a specialised service, which allows iTouch and iPhone owners to download a selection of comics for personal enjoyment. The company has been going for some time and has publishers such as IDW, Bluewater, Dynamite and Image Comics involved in their distribution model.
