It was something I’d been mulling over for some time and SciFiPulse.Net, as it is now known, started life in May of 2001 as CyFy Pulse on Geocities free web hosting service … a service that’s long gone now.

Hatch Gives More Thoughts On Battlestar Movie

Earlier this year shortly before Ron D. Moore’s Re-imagined Battlestar Galactica came to a close. Universal announced that they were in negotiations with Glen A. Larson for the rights to produce a Battlestar Galactica movie, which would be made with a broader audience in mind than the controversial re-imagining.

Hatch Confirms Galactica Movie Rumours

Though he is not involved with any Battlestar Galactica projects right now, aside from his own book series. Veteran Battlestar Galactica actor Richard Hatch confirmed that series creator Glen A. Larson is indeed in negotiations with NBC Universal and plans are in the works to produce a Battlestar Galactica theatrical movie, which would be truer to the original concept used in the series, and would not be the political show that Ron D. Moore’s re-imagination became. In a recent interview Hatch told Moviehole that the rumours first reported earlier this year are true.

Since then, he has taken on the new challenge of a role in the Ron Moore produced remake of ‘Battlestar Galactica’.

Hatch Speaks Out To Galactica Fans

Over the course of this evening I have had a little e-mail correspondence with our friend Richard Hatch who has re-iterated to me that although he may or may not take on the role in Ron Moore’s Galactica, it does not alter his love of the classic series or his willingness to support any continuation should one ever get produced.

Hatch Still Supportive Of Science Fiction Television

When I last spoke to Richard Hatch, he like many fans was shocked to hear about the Battlestar Galactica remake, at that time very little was known about the production. Late last year the plot of the new mini series was revealed courtesy of numerous websites and media publications, which had somehow obtained a copy of the script. Richard who with the support of many fans around the world had championed a continuation of Battlestar Galactica was as shocked and appalled as anyone when he read about some of the changes, which had been made to the story.
