There’s a new Han Solo in town and he will be played by Aiden Ehrenreich.
Having beaten out actors such as Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton, and Scott Eastwood.
The role of Han Solo was originated by Harrison Ford who was approximately 9 years older than 26 year old Ehrenreich when he first played the iconic space smuggler.
The Han Solo movie, which Ehrenreich will star in is the second of three anthology movies that Lucasfilm are producing. The first of these is ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’, which will premier in December.
Like many fans of the Han Solo character. I’m pretty excited to see what this new movie reveals about the character and hoping that we’ll get to see a few of the events that were mentioned about Hans past in the original trilogy. Such as the Kessel Run with the Falcon and of course the card game in which Han won the iconic ship from Lando.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller are directing the young Han Solo movie from a script by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) and his son Jon. It’s scheduled to hit theaters May 25, 2018.
