Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are developing a new animated ‘Spider-Man’ movie for Sony.
This new film, will not be set within the same continuity as the film series, which means fans can breath a sigh of relief give how much the movie continuity has been messed with of late.
Sony made the official announcement of this new animated feature earlier in the week on 22 April.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, known for the Jump Street franchise and The Lego Movie, will be writing a treatment and producing a new animated Spider-Man film for the big screen. Sony aim to released the film on July 20, 2018. It will be produced by Lord, Miller, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Amy Pascal.
Other announced plans for ‘Spider-Man’ so far include an introduction in an upcoming Marvel film, followed by a live-action ‘Spider-Man’ film, currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
