Anna Lynne McCord Would Love ‘Tomb Raider’ role

"My mind goes more across to Tomb Raider, like a bad-ass bitch [version of Lara Croft]!

Anna Lynne McCord, who is best known for her roles in ‘90210’ and ‘Dallas’ has revealed that she would love to play a more action type of role to what she has become known for.

In a recent interview to promote her new movie ‘Excision’ the actress revealed that it would be a dream come true if she could play Lara Croft from the ‘Tombraider’ gaming series. The role was played by Angelina Jolie in the previous two ‘Tombraider’ movies.

Excision was the one project that I’ve done that I’m really proud of. As actors we’re always giving ourselves the worst time ever. That film, we put our blood, sweat and tears into and thankfully it came out and got some good feedback.

“The director allowed me pretty much a carte blanche, to do whatever I wanted. As an actor, to be given that freedom and that trust, it gives birth to creativity.”

“To be able to do a combination of crazy and fun roles like that. I obviously love Johnny Depp’s mentality of ‘one for them and one for me’. To do one like that for me – personally I love action films or TV.

“Anything with an element of mystery or action like Dexter. To do something more commercial but then to have the option to do something more independent would make me a happy camper.”

She added: “My mind goes more across to Tomb Raider, like a bad-ass bitch [version of Lara Croft]! They are going to do another one, right? That would be awesome, that would make me a happy girl!”

Plans have been in development for a reboot of the ‘Tombraider’ movie series for quite some time now, but as yet no one has been cast as Lara Croft so watch this space.
