Reports have come in that Channing Tatum is trying to get ‘X-Men: Gambit’ back on track with help from ‘Bourne Identity’ director Doug Liman.
Tatum is said to be courting the director in the hopes of making a deal for him to direct the troubled comic book movie.
If he takes the bait, Liman will replace Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), who exited the project in September.
Liman’s most recently release was 2014’s ‘Edge of Tomorrow’, and he is currently reteaming with Tom Cruise on ’80s crime drama ‘Mena’.
‘Gambit’ is currently scheduled for release on October 7, 2016.
