Clive Barker Adapting His ‘Weaveworld’ Books For TV With CW

Renowned horror writer/film maker Clive Barker is to adapt his novel 'Weaverworld' for CW as a brand new television series

Renowned horror writer/film maker Clive Barker is  to adapt his novel ‘Weaverworld’ for CW as a brand new television series.

According to Deadline the writer and filmmaker will executive produce the series written by “Warehouse 13’s” Jack Kenny, who will also executive produce.

In the updated television take on the novel. An app designer and a young pastry chef enter a mythological world through a portal in an old Savannah mansion and must band together to fight an epic battle against evil forces attempting to control the magical world.  There have been a few attempts to adapt ‘Weaveworld’ over the years, but its expansive world was always considered to be to expensive for television.

‘Weaveworld’ was previously adapted as a comic book miniseries in 1991 by writer Erik Saltzgaber and artist Mike Manley for Marvel’s Epic Comics imprint.
