Ever since Clara said her goodbye to the Doctor the question has been who will be the Doctor’s new companion on ‘Doctor Who’.

It seems that some are speculating that the Doctors newest travel partner could be someone that we have already met.

Rigsy who is played by ‘Eastenders’ star Joivan Wade made quite an impression on many ‘Doctor Who’ fans and it would seem that he is not being ruled out as a possible candidate to fill Clara’s shows. Though admittedly he’d look kind of goofy in heels.

“He was a popular choice. In the future, you never know,” Wade told Digital Spy during a recent interview.

Doctor Who companion is definitely a dream as well. Never say never and we’ll see what happens.

“But yeah, I love Doctor Who, and just the culture, and it is nice that the two things are so very different. Doing a soap is different to anything I have done – even Doctor Who.”

Rigsy made his debut in the series eight episode ‘Flatline’ in which he helped save the world. He made a return in the series nine episode ‘Face The Raven’ in which Clara made the ultimate sacrifice in order to save his life.

Upside: Rigsy’s an attractive character (Joivan Wade is wonderful).
Downside: It might make the show testosterone-heavy.

Maybe the show could use a bit of testosterone for an episode or two. Sure as hell beats the crap out of the companion falling in love with the doctor, which is getting old.
