It looks like fans of hit series ‘Game Of Thrones’ may have to wait a little longer than usual.
The show, which will be moving into its sixth season is not likely to return until early May.
To date the show has always traditionally premiered in late March or early April. This last season, which took things out on an high dramatic note premiered on April 12, but it seems that the shows sixth season could be a little later than that.
Last week HBO announced that its winter Sunday programming block of ‘Vinyl, Girls’ and ‘Togethernes’s will have a deferred start of February 14; and scheduling for ‘Girls’ and ‘Togetherness‘s’ 10 episodes means that they aren’t expected to conclude until April 24.
While it is possible for HBO to air these comedies alongside ‘Game Of Thrones’ for the two weeks beginning April 17, it seems unlikely as HBO traditionally links its hit with spring comedies Veep and Silicon Valley.
The earliest we can possibly expect to see the sixth season start is looking like early May.
