Fox has announced the series that it will be renewing for the 2015/16 television season and among them is ‘Gotham’, which is a show that has been getting mixed reviews from comic book fans, but for the most part has managed to hold onto a pretty loyal following.

‘Gothams’ premiere secured Fox’s highest-rated fall drama debut in 14 years, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Also renewed is Brooklyn Nine-Nine, starring Andy Samsberg and Terry Crews, was renewed after receiving stronger ratings during its second season compared to its first.

Batman fans will be pleased with the renewal of ‘Gotham’ given that there was a little concern over Fox airing the series given that they have a fairly patchy record when it comes to giving genre shows a fair go.
