It would seem that ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ has been a huge hit for Funko across the pond in the USA and also here in the UK.
So to that end we’ll be seeing even more characters from the film being made into Pop Vinyl Figures and Fabrikations.
Hot on the heels of the new ‘Dancing Groot’ vinyl figure, which will release in October here in the UK will be a vinyl figure of ‘Howard The Duck’ in December.
Howard made a memorable appearance in the closing credits of ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ and seems to have been somewhat redeemed in the hearts of movie fans since his 1986 solo film, which I believe was directed by George Lucas.
Howard the Duck (1986) never was a Marvel film that stunned at the box office – in fact the film has become something of a cult for its cheesiness. Howard appears in a case of The Collector at the end of the new Guardians film – but before that he had a great period in comics written by Steve Gerber and (often) drawn by the great Gene Colan.
The Howard POP! vinyl figure stands around 9cm tall.
It will most likely appear in most UK retail stores at some point in December and will likely retail anywhere between £12.99 and £15.99
