Synopsis: Will and Katie put themselves at risk to make contact with the Resistance. Broussard pieces together IGA secrets left behind in LA.
Review: This episode opens with the IGA in somewhat of a panic as they are attacked. They find that their factory has been totally destroyed, which means they will have to rebuild it elsewhere.
Back in LA Broussard is living a solitary existence as part of an underground railroad to get people out of the LA block who were not taken in the rendition. We get the sense that quite a bit of time has passed since we last saw Broussard and his station has been relatively quiet. To pass the time he is putting together old IGA documents, which were put through the shredder before the rendition. And we also see him checking in with the dispatcher, who is running through all the resistance waystations in the various Blocks.
Elsewhere the Bowman family have made contact with the resistance and have proved that they have possession of the Gauntlet device, which they are after. From there on the family is placed onto a cargo train, which is en route to an unknown destination. At the other end of the journey, the Bowman’s are met by some rather edgy characters and a resistance, which doesn’t seem to be entirely unified. Snider is forced to ditch his secret IGA communication device due to the resistance patting everyone down for contraband electronics that might well be spying devices.
Back in LA Broussards attempts to help a young mother and her son escape to another Block fail as the resistance is thwarted by IGA drones. The dispatcher manages to escape and Broussard helps her escape the block with plans to show the rebuilt documents to other surviving resistance members in one of the other blocks.
Overall. This was a pretty good episode, which seemed to be mainly setting things up for the bigger story. It’s apparent that the Aliens that are controlling the IGA have been attacked by something or someone more powerful than they are. But what’s going on with Broussard and this dispatcher. Can she be trusted? The same question goes for the resistance that Will and his family have linked up with.
It will be interesting to see how much of this will play out in future weeks. Hopefully, we’ll get to see a little more action.
