Synopsis: The team goes undercover on a Leithian military base to help find The Lady’s true body.

Review: Story threads begin to gel together more as the rest of the Killjoys such as Turin and Pree are awake and doing their bit on Westerley to try and help Dutch and the others.

The Story

Having won their freedom and the trust of the Governer aboard the Prison ship. Dutch, Johnny, and D’avin begin to formulate a plan to put an end to The Lady once and for all. The trouble is. They need to find The Lady’s real body in order to do so, and that means they need to figure out a way of getting their old ship back, which involves finding a transmitter strong enough to allow Johnny to upload the A.I. program that he made of Lucy up to the ship, which is currently onboard The Ladies ship.

In order to achieve this goal. The team head off to Lieth, which is a small military planet and enlist the help of one of the Prisoners from the ship to try and pass as locals.

Back on Westerley. Zeph and Pree with some help from Turin have found one of The Ladies clones, which Dutch wasn’t able to kill. The clone is a spider-like creature with a hard shell. The trio attempt to study it, and having got a closer look Zepth recognizes it as something familiar, which she has seen in some old files, which means the trio have to head back to Zeph’s little den, which is easier said than done.

Onboard The Ladies ship. Fancy Lee is being held prisoner and finds an opportunity for escape when he hears a repetitive sound, which leads him to Dutch’s impounded ship.

The Acting

Kelly McCormack and Thom Allison have a few brilliant scenes together as Zeph and Pree as they wander through a desert at the start of the episode to find an old military base where they can get supplies. Trouble is its a very long walk, which provides an opportunity for both actors to use some of the comedy chops as we hear an exhausted Zeph complain about the heartbeats she can feel in the soles of her feet.

Overall

This episode has a lot of blink and you miss it moments in that the story beats all played out pretty fast. But the episode serves the purpose of reunited Fancy Lee and Zeph with Dutch and the others. Which we can assume means that Turin and Pree are still on Westerley.

With only three episodes to go. It’s going to need the combined brains of Zeph and Johnny to figure out a way to find The Ladies original body and destroy it.  And I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
