Synopsis: Trapped in the mysterious mind-bending greenspace and on the run from the deadly lady, Aneela, and her father Khlyen struggle to stay one step ahead of the Lady, while keeping a wounded Dutch alive with a story that he promises will save her life: the tale of Dutch and Johnny’s first mission in the Quad. He tells the story of the time when, down to their last few joy, Dutch and John accepted a simple cargo transportation gig to the armpit of the galaxy and how this led to them facing off with a deadly assassin.

Review: Killjoys is most definitely back and this episode picks things up a little after the events we saw in the season three finale. It is apparent right away that Dutch, Aneela, and Khlyen have been in the greenspace for a matter of time and the situation isn’t looking too good.

We don’t really get to see too many locations within the greenspace, but what we do see is nicely lit to provide a green hue, which makes it look like not a wonderful place.

I love how Khlyen uses the story of Dutch’s first mission with Johnny as a way to instill her with some hope and a means by which she can fight off the deadly lady. I especially enjoyed seeing the early stages of Johnny and Dutch’s friendship and how they came to become Killjoys.

Overall. This is a great start to what is set to be the penultimate season of the show.

It was great to learn about much of the backstory for Johnny and Dutch given that it is strongly suggested that Johnny may have a role to play in helping Dutch defeat the lady.

Hopefully next week we’ll get to see what D’avin, Zeph and the others are up too while Dutch is in the greenspace, which is something we’ll hopefully get to see next week.
