Synopsis: When Sherloque wants to use a memory machine on Barry and Nora to help gain access to Grace’s memories, Nora panics, fearing her parents will find out the secrets she’s been keeping from them. Nora secretly decides to use the machine on her own which ends in disaster after she gets trapped inside Grace’s mind.

Review: Thanks to his memory machine. Sherloque gets a bit closer to figuring out Nora’s secret.

The Story

Picking things up from last week. The team makes plans to try and wake Cicada’s niece up from her coma by using a memory machine to gain access to her memories. In order to do this Sherloque says that Nora and Barry will have to go in as a pair, but fearing that Barry will gain access to her memories. Nora takes it upon herself to go in alone and gets herself trapped in Graces memories.

Of course, Barry and Iris have to go in after Nora, but instead of finding themselves in Graces memories they wind up in Nora’s memories and spend a little time observing Nora as a young girl in The Flash museum and at various other venues.

Elsewhere Ralph enlists Ciscos help to follow a lead on Cicada, but it winds up being a ploy to get Cisco to help him pick up ladies, but the evening proves not to be a complete waste because not only does Cisco meet someone, but the experience inadvertently helps solve a little conundrum, which leads to him figuring out the missing element in a cure for metahumans.

The Acting

I was really impressed with Islie Hirvonen who put in a very mature and unsettling performance as Grace who goes from sweet and innocent to absolute psychotic who vows to hunt down the speedsters. Her interactions with Nora were really well performed. We find out just how connected she is to Cicada and we learn that Grace has been able to hear the various conversations that Cicada has had with Dr. Ambres.

I also enjoyed watching the chemistry between Carlos Valdes and Hartley Sawyer  as Cisco and Ralph. The reveal that Ralph was not really chasing a lead was rather funny in a cheesy way.

A solid episode, which revealed a little about Nora’s childhood and also gave us some new information, which could make the job of stopping Cicada that bit more difficult if what I suspect is right. In that Cicada’s powers are linked in with the dark matter that is still embedded in Graces head.

I look forward to finding out whether I am right or wrong on that.

I also look forward to seeing how Nora’s secret will eventually be revealed to Barry and Iris in the weeks ahead.
